EMI GA Network General Meeting
"Practicing Restorative Justice in Our Schools"

August 22, 2022 general meeting

We had two guest presenters:

Nina Stephen, coordinator for the Georgia Poor People's Campaign, share d with us the organization's "Vote for Your Life" GOTV campaign. If we want changes in policies and laws, then we must vote and help others who are marginalized to become active participants in the voting process--from registering to vote, to studying the candidates, to casting a ballot.

Jeff Willard, co-chair of Tzedek Georgia: A Reform Jewish Advocacy Group, discussed how essential advocacy is, especially grassroots advocacy, for bringing about change; and shared tips for effective advocacy in today's political climate.
